Maniac Mansion ROM Hacking
Change the words, kids, rooms and rules of Maniac Mansion on the NES, with a randomizer, a story remix and share codes.
About this release
This is a work in progress. Load your own Maniac Mansion (USA) NES ROM and make it yours: change what the kids and the Edisons say, pick new kid names, flip the story with a family remix, shake things up with a randomizer, change some game rules, and give the game twice the room for your text. A step-by-step guide walks you through it, and you can save your picks as a preset and share a code with a friend. Your ROM stays in your browser and is never uploaded.
How to use it
Click "Open the tool", load your Maniac Mansion (USA) .nes file, pick Original or Original + and follow the rooms, then save a patch to share or a ready-to-play ROM for yourself. It runs right in your browser, with nothing to install.
